This is a waterless lithograph printed on Context Birch, an FSC-approved 80% recycled wood pulp paper with a slight natural speckle. Waterless lithography is a safer, non-toxic alternative technique that replaces the traditional water-dampening system with a very thin layer of silicone rubber that repels the printing ink, allowing for detailed, painterly prints. Caroline made this print using the back of a salvaged aluminium plate that was being disposed of by a commercial printer.  Image size 36 x 26.5 cm. Paper size 51 x 42 cm.
