Barbara Zalecki was born in Poland and came to England when she was 10.
She studied drawing and illustration at Isleworth,Wimbledon and Harrow Art school.
Her main job has always been as a freelance illustrator in various studios.
Barbara joined Greenwich Printmakers Gallery in the 1990’s.

Although Barbara is known for her etching prints of cats and animals, the designs in her work encompass a variety of subject matter including, architecture, sumo wrestlers, landscapes & flowers. Barbara also makes tiffany-style mirrors and fan-style lamps.
She also does commissioned paintings of people’s pets done in the watercolour medium.
